There's a new name appearing on Middlebelt Rd between Ford Rd and Warren Rd: Nova Meds. We're an independent, owner-run pharmacy getting ready to join the Garden City neighborhood, and we wanted to say hello before we open our doors. Our tagline is simple, your trusted neighborhood pharmacy, and that's the kind of place we're working to become.
Our opening is planned for late October 2026, though we don't have an exact date yet. In the meantime, we wanted to share a bit about who we are and what neighbors can expect once we're ready, since choosing a new pharmacy is a personal decision worth thinking through ahead of time. We think a good pharmacy is built on more than prescriptions; it's built on knowing the people who walk through the door, and we're looking forward to doing just that in Garden City.
What We're Planning to Offer
Once we open, we plan to fill and refill prescriptions, and we'll offer free local delivery within 15 miles for neighbors who would rather stay home. We're also planning walk-in vaccinations, so ask us when the time comes.
Beyond prescriptions, we plan to carry a range of everyday over-the-counter products, supplements and vitamins, and diabetic supplies. We also plan to offer simple health checks, like blood pressure, weight and temperature, along with time to sit down with the pharmacist and talk through your questions. We want neighbors to find what they need for everyday health without having to make a special trip elsewhere.
Our aim is to have most prescriptions ready in about 10 minutes, and once we open, we accept most insurance plans, so a trip to the pharmacy doesn't have to take up your whole day.
Starting the Transfer Process
If you're thinking about moving your prescriptions to a pharmacy closer to home, we can handle that transfer for you once we open. Moving a prescription to a new pharmacy should feel simple, and that's the idea behind our prescription transfer service.
We'll share more details as our opening date gets closer, so you know exactly when to start that process, and there's no need to do anything right now.
What Will Feel Different Here
Nova Meds is independent and owner-run, which matters to us. We like knowing our neighbors by name, not just by a number on a prescription bottle.
That kind of neighborhood feel, along with free local delivery within 15 miles, is part of what we hope will set us apart once we're up and running, and we hope it's the kind of difference you can feel from your very first visit.
Stay Connected Before We Open
We're a small team getting ready for a big step, and we'd love for Garden City to be part of it from the start. Follow us for news from the neighborhood as our opening date comes together.
If you have questions in the meantime, you can reach us by phone, email or WhatsApp, and you can find all our contact details on our contact page.
